COMARCS/COMA Carbon Star Photometric Data 2008

The following bolometric correction tables have been calculated from COMA07/SPHREAD03 spectra based on COMARCS04 hydrostatic models. Reddening due to circumstellar dust is not included. Details concerning the computations, the input physics and the application of these photometric data can be found in the contribution "Synthetic photometry for carbon rich giants, I. Hydrostatic dust-free models, by B. Aringer, L. Girardi, W. Nowotny, P. Marigo, M.T. Lederer, 2009, A&A, 503, 913-928", which should also be quoted when using the presented results.

All of the tables include the following columns for the 746 models of the grid: Number; Teff - effective temperature [K]; log(g) - surface gravity g [cm/s**2]; mass - M/M(sol) - mass scaled to the solar value; Z/Zs - Z/Z(sol) - metallicity scaled to the solar value; C/O - abundance ratio; logL - log(L/Lsol) - luminosity scaled to the solar value; xi - microturbulent velocity [km/s]; v - version of p/T grid for COMARCS input; X - BCx - bolometric corrections for all of the filters X of the corresponding system. The entries are sorted according to the model parameters.

Each of the tables contains a photometric system including different filters. If a certain filter curve is not covered by the synthetic spectra (below 4444 and above 250000Å) a value of -999999 is listed for the bolometric correction. Details concerning the photometric systems are given here.
