CMD history log

In preparation
  • Simulated star clusters.
  • Up to version 2.3
  • Sep 23, 2010: Version 2.3 released. Main features: Girardi et al. (2010) corrections for low-metallicity low-mass stars available, and a few more photometric systems available.
  • Up to version 2.2
  • Sep 09, 2009: Bug corrected: The combination "integrated SSP magnitudes" and "Sequence of isochrones of constant age" was replacing log(age) for age, producing, in practice, colours for zero-age SSPs.
  • May 28, 2009: Version 2.2 released. Main features: Aringer's et al. (2009) bolometric corrections for C stars available, more links to papers, old Girardi et al. (2002) BC tables deprecated.
  • Up to version 2.1
  • Apr 17, 2009: Bug corrected! small bug was causing the TRGB to be misindentified in the Z<0.0004 isochrones with log(t/yr) between 9.8 and 10.0, causing some additional "cosmetic" errors in nearby isochrone points.
  • Apr 10, 2009: Bug corrected! While computing the ACS/WFC isochrones, we were erroneously using the detector response from ACS/HRC. The main consequences are small offsets (less than 0.05 mag) in some of the colours along the RGB. The most popular F555W-F814W colour is not affected.
  • Dec 29, 2008: Residual nans were removed from the output. Links to some most relevant papers are now provided in the form.
  • Nov 21, 2008: The option "Use improved interpolation scheme" was set as the default. A bug affecting the MS and SGB of isochrones with Z<0.001, for ages between 1.1e9 and 1.2e9 yr, was corrected.
  • Oct 22, 2008: GALEX system included.
  • Jun 27, 2008: Bug corrected: the code no longer crashes when circumstellar dust is selected in combination with WFPC2 and ACS/HRC systems. The same correction also eliminates some residual NaNs present in previous AKARI isochrones.
  • Jun 20, 2008: Inserted the option "Use improved interpolation scheme", see the motivations in the FAQ.
  • May 13, 2008: Bugs corrected: 1- CMD was not using the replacement for the most massive TP-AGB stars described in the appendix of Marigo et al. (2008); the TP-AGB between ages of 1e8 and about 4e8 was affected, please check your previous isochrones. 2- The computation of the LF was failing in some circumstances (when it happened, the results were so obviously wrong that most users would have noticed it).
  • Mar 25, 2008: CMD moved to a more powerful and stable server. Versions earlier than 2.0 now fail, and are deprecated.
  • Mar 24, 2008: version 2.1beta becomes 2.1. Added preliminary HST/WFC3 isochrones. Minor changes in layout.
  • Feb 19, 2008: version 2.1beta released. Includes star-to-star interstellar extinction. Filters and zeropoints of HST/ACS and HST/WFPC2 systems were revisited.
  • Up to version 2.0
  • Jan 2008: version 2.0beta becomes 2.0.
  • Nov 20, 2007: version 2.0beta released. Includes newest Marigo & Girardi (2007) TP-AGB tracks, the effect of circumstellar dust, and updates the spectra used to derive bolometric corrections. Output files now include a header.
  • Up to version 1.2
  • Nov 29, 2007: Corrected a bug in the Salpeter and Kroupa IMFs.
  • June 25, 2007: version 1.2, includes a few more photometric systems, and prints their basic information (efective wavelengths and widths, extinction coefficients) in the output page.
  • May 13, 2007: bug corrected! Isochrones in the 2MASS system distributed between May 2 (likely) and May 11, 2007 had errors in the zeropoints, being almost 0.1 mag too red in both J-H and J-Ks.
  • Feb 26, 2007: added SSP integrated magnitudes.
  • Feb 13, 2007: version 1.1, added luminosity functions and some more help.
  • Dec 2006: web interface version 1.0 published in http://stev.oapd.inaf.it/~lgirardi/cgi-bin/cmd_1.0 . This was a limited version with isochrones in the "basic set" only, and 10 photometric systems.
  • 1997 or 1998: first code version.
