Brief overview

Welcome to the PARSEC stellar tracks database.
The stellar evolution code PARSEC ( Bressan et al., 2012) is an updated version of the Padova's stellar evolution code ( Bressan et al., 1993, Girardi et al., 2000, Marigo et al., 2001 ). In PARSEC a detailed treatment of the input physics such as the equation of state, opacities, nuclear reaction rates, microscopic diffusion, allow us to compute stellar models from the pre-main sequence up to the most advanced evolutionary phases. The PARSEC stellar track database has grown significantly over the years in terms of mass and metallicity ranges, and, most recently, with the inclusion of rotation.
